| 68 Chev stepside When I originally got this sweet truck in Santa Fe in 1992, you could see the ground passing under your feet while driving down the road. Did a frame-up restoration installing a new cab floor and oak bed. Has since traveled from Sante Fe NM to Orcas Is WA, Spokane WA, Brookings OR, Cambria CA and back to Bainbridge Is WA with many adventures along the way.Shes been a family member - a working truck lovingly cared for. Specifics: C10 Stepside, straight 6 cylinder (250HP) w/3 speed Hurtz shifter on floor, oak bed and camper shell. Rebuilt transmission with heavy duty clutch (1992). Frame-up restoration, repainted (perrywinkle), reupholstered, replaced radiator (1993). New exhaust and brakes (1997). New distributor (2000). Tires, oil and valve gaskets replaced (2002) before storing under cover 10/2002-10/2003. Replaced carb, spark plug wires, distributor cap, valve gasket, radiator (12/2003). Replaced fuel pump, front wheel cylinders, brake hoses, turned front brake drums (2/04). All cylinders pressure check @ 135 except #2 at 125 . Shes strong (have pulled an 18 Airsteam trailer). Gets about 12-15mpg city w/out a load and 19-20 hwy @ 60 MPH avg speed Always covered. Clean inside and out. Does not leak oil and theres no rust or corrosion (just a few spots bubbled from the original paintjob, minor scratches and some blemishing on hood and roof, all are easy to repair). For a non-bartering serious buyer, Id have a one coat MAACO paint job done to handle these since she was last painted (1993). Photos were taken in 2001. Looks pretty much the same.
