| DESCRIPTION |
| I am the third owner of this 1981 Corvette. This car is original with 36,000 miles and has not undergone any restoration. According to Carfax, the first owner put on 14,000 miles in the first 2-3 years. The second basically warehoused the car and put on less than 1,000 miles a year until I bought it in 2003 with 30,250 miles on it. I have historical maintenance records for the last owner and myself. This Corvette is White with a bright Red interior. There are minor paint chips consistent with a 25-year-old car but the paint is 90 original. The rear bumper and left rear quarter panel are new and the paint matches flawlessly. The interior is extremely clean. There is minor fade of the carpet in the rear, and the front carpet could use a deep steam cleaning. The front drivers seat is new material as the second owner was a fat guy and the seams ripped. The center gauge panel has been cut to accept a new stereo. I have the original AM/FM Cassette deck but the cassette deck is non-functional. The power antenna is new. The car currently has a small transmission drip in the front and requires an AC charge but needs no other maintenance. I have new calipers and discs all around, new battery, new ball joints and a new transducer for the cruise control and many other new parts as part of regular maintenance including new Goodyear Eagle GT IIs. Features *350 LT81 Engine *Automatic 3 speed *New CD player with XM Satellite *T-Tops (Silver Glass) *Power Windows *Power Antenna *Rear Window Defroster *Air Conditioning *Aluminum Wheels L81 is the notation for the engine block used in 1981 Corvettes. The L81 was the only engine optional available in 1981 Corvettes. L81 Corvettes may not be the most valuable Corvettes on the road these days, but several factors (including the L81 engine), make it somewhat unique. | |
