DESCRIPTION
1967 Chevelle SS 396 True 138 code car. Not numbers matching - has a period correct 396 big-block w/ 4 bolt mains. Engine built to EF code factory spec about 3 years ago. No smoke, no issues, strong running motor. Starts up immediately, and settles into a nice throaty idle. All GM factory components on engine from intake manifold to exhaust manifolds. Non factory Edlebrock 750 CFM carburetor. Flowmaster 2- ˝ exhaust and mufflers. Transmission is wide ratio M20 Muncie w/ Muncie shifter. Stock GM 12 bolt rear end with 3.36:1 gears. Car is a nice highway driver with this set up. Front disc brake and power steering factory option. Interior is black vinyl, with bucket seats. Original AM radio. Carpets, panels and interior are in good shape. Front carpet – driver’s side shows use. No seatbelts but I have two new ones from Year One still in packaging. I have electrical and shop manuals and 1967 Chevelle owners manual – from year One. I have a spare set of key blanks. All these items are included with car. The car was originally red and was repainted Nantucket blue. The paint is in good shape, some minor chips and two blemishes on hood as shown in pictures. Front and rear bumper chrome is very good. Trim is fair to good and glass is fair to good - some scratches. Tires are still in very good shape and have many miles of tread left. Present owner commentary: This is a very nice looking driver - and is a project car. There are little things that need attention. Interior: The headliner has a tear alongside the dome light. There are no seatbelts in the car. Mechanical: The parking brake mechanism will require new cabling to make it functional. Cosmetic: There is a piece of chrome trim missing from the trunk lid. The rear arm rests are missing the arm rest pads. The fit and finish of the front fenders is sloppy and will require some level of expertise and a few hours and some shims to adjust the front fenders. There are a couple paint bubbles on the hood near the windshield. Trunk: No spare and no jack. Inside the area was a previous repaint. This interior trunk paint application was poorly prepared and is starting to peel. feel free to contact me with any further questions.
