| 1985 Porsche 928S V-8 powered and runs strong excellent service history. This is a quality classic German built machine. Approx. 170,000 miles on the body but Im not sure how many are on the engine; I recently found out that the id numbers on the engine do not match whats on the body which explains why there is very little smoke from the engine and it pulls very hard! Ext. Black, int. Black leather, Automatic, 8 cyl, , sold for $65K in 1985 and was ahead of its time in both engineering and design. However this car is showing its age in many areas; it will be hard to find a machine with this much power, grace and presence for this price. Not to mention the reputation and aura of owning a Porsche. Recent work with receipts include: New Steering Rack, Transmission resealed with new CV boots, Tune up and Timing belt tensioned (plus misc. totaling about $3500) What doesnt work: Odometer which stopped on my watch 3 years ago at 155K approx.170K now, title reflects that calculation. Cruise control, rear wipers and defroster, drivers power seat. The seat will work with a fuse change. But there is a slight short in the motor connection. Condition: overall pretty good. Not show room but looks great from 8 feet. Interior is original except for the rear panels and door panels and headliner which was recovered. Rest of interior is pretty good however there are 2 holes in the drivers seat which Ive covered up nicely. There is a 928S 5 piece carpet set and the I had it dyed so the finish is pretty glossy. This is great Porsche Classic for low dollars! The car is mechanically sound and ready for the road. The car has new tint on the windows. The interior is clean with a cd player. The car has been serviced with Moble 1 every 3000 miles! | |
