| 1985 CORVETTE COUPE Z-51 PACKAGE 4 3 TRANSMISSION I have owned this great car for eight years. Current odometer reading is 78,000 miles. Over the years I have been upgrading with handling, performance and longevity enhancements. Some of the major items include replacing the clutch and throwout bearing about 7,000 miles ago, replacement of all rubber suspension bushings with polyurethane bushings both front and rear, new (MOOG) upper and lower balljoints, race calibrated BILSTEIN shock absorbers, stainless steel braided brake hoses front and rear. New rear wheel bearings, RANDOM TECHNOLOGY super high flow catalytic converter, (S.S. BRAKES) front big brake conversion with 13 inch rotors and dual piston calipers, new oil cooler hoses, (EDELBROCK) aluminum water pump, new rubber weather stripping on rear hatch and door windows, new (ACCEL) fuel injectors, new modified mass air flow sensor, new three inch custom exhaust with (SUPERTRAPP) muffler, (TPIS) throttle body air foil, (K and N) air filter, harness bar with video camera mount and five point safety harness, new (DIEHARD) battery, new (AFS) 17 inch X 9.5 inch ZR-1 style wheels, new (KUMHO) street tires, new carpeting in rear hatch area, new radiator hoses and serpentine belt, new ACCEL distributor cap and TAYLOR plug wires, modified rear trailing arm mounts and rear camber arm mounts (DOUG RIPPIE MOTORSPORTS), new accelerator pedal assembly, front and rear lowering kit. I have changed the oil twice per year, late spring and end of summer using MOBIL ONE exclusively. Redline synthetic gear lube is in the transmission and MOBIL ONE gear lube is in the differential. Both gear lubes have been changed twice in the 9,000 miles I have put on the car. The engine oil pressure matches that of a new car. The synchros are good in the trans. and the overdrive works fine. I belong to a Corvette club and have run autocross and time trial events about four or five times each season. Mostly the car sits in the garage or goes out for occaisional Sunday drives. I have a parts listing of all enhancements with receipts which total $6994.96 for parts, all stuff I have added or replaced on the car. This is not your average 1985 Corvette with a weak clutch or worn out water pump or ball joints, marginal fuel injectors, etc. This is very much a value added car. The car looks great and runs great and is way above average for a 1985 Corvette. It has also been a trophy winner most times out. I have a used set of KUMHO VICTORACERS wrapped in sealed plastic bags to go with the car and two sets of original 16 inch wheels can go too. The car can be seen and driven in Youngstown, Ohio. I am selling the car to buy a motorcycle.
