SOLD !!! I have owned this car since about 1982. This car has always been stored (correctly) in heated storage. I have a storage business so this was easy. Since I have owned it I have given it anything that it has needed. The exhaust system has been replaced, a new battery and tires, the usual things that rot or wear out. Mechanically the car has never been opened up. The entire drive line from engine (394 ci) to rear end is original. The only exception to this is the oil filter. Instead of the old canister type it has been converted to a standard spin on type (AC PF24), a much easier and better filtration system. A new radiator was put in two summers ago cause of small leaks. At a stop light it would steam a little so it was recored. The wipers work fine but the old style wiper fluid pump that is in the glass canister next to the radiator went bad and I have ! not been able to find a replacement. You do need to add lead to the gas because it does not have the hardened valve seats in the heads. Most of the old original classics are that way. The body and paint are totally original, with a little ding and a thing here and there but not bad enough to repaint it. Interior still has the plastic seat covers on it. The only things that dont work is the clock and speedometer (both can be fixed). You need to trust me on this guys, the odometer showed 51746 when I unhooked it last summer because it was making wild noises and I was afraid something was going to break. I havent been able to find a new one. I just dont have time for it anymore and my honey and I are looking to move to Florida soon. We are sort of in the liquidation mode now. Included in the sale price is a full cloth cover and a shop manual. I am also including many Oldsmobile advertising photo ads and publications from the 50s about Oldsmobiles, mostly relating to the 1959. Lots of info here and collector items as well.
