Carbon fiber body is an extremely strong and light composite material. Wheel carrying suspension members and the Mercedes-Ilmor engine and six speed Hewland gearbox are attached. Car makes extensive use of ground effects. Iverted airfoils press the car to the pavement like and upside-down aircraft wing to create a vacuum that literally sucks the car to the track. This particular car participated in two Indianapolis 500s. Its best finish was in 1996, when Davy Jones started from the middle of the first row with an average speed of 232.882 and finished 2nd.
