Here is a rare opportunity to own a piece of racing history. This is the first FIA GTP C-Junior race car and the first Harrier GTP car. This 1983 Harrier Mazda RX83-C has a stunning race campaign and has been documented throughout the years. Originally built by Ray Lester for Mazda and was campaigned at Monza, LeMans and Brands Hatch it was a class winner at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium. It has been featured in World Sport Cars 1983-1987, Vintage Motorsports September /October 1999 and Victory Lane August and September 2000. It has been raced at IMSA, HSR, SVRA, SCCA and NASA. This car was restored by Neal Harrison and David Dunn from 1997-1999 and the motor was rebuilt in 1998 by Roger Mandeville. The RX83-C is fitted with a Mazda 13b 1.3L 2 rotor, single dual throat down draft Weber carburetor and produces a conservative 260hp. Backing up the 13b is a 5 speed manual Hewland FGB Formula 1 gearbox with a remote cooler. A new dual larger capacity oil cooler and Davis radiator dissipate any undue heat. There are over 30 pages of documentation and pictures that come with the car along with several spare parts.
