| Very nice, clean and rare numbers matching 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Indy 500 Pace Car. This car is restored to its original glory and is a very rare find. Car has orignal 260CI V8 and C4 Auto transmission. The 260CI has 2BBL, 164hp, 258 lbs of torque, this engine was only used in the very first of 64 1/2 Mustangs made. Car has 8 inch rear end and 3.00 gear ratio. Car is very basic, equipped with AM radio and power steering. Odometer shows 92,001 miles and these are believed to be and was told to be the original mileage, but cannot document. Drivetrain is original and untouched. Correct part number and date code on carburetor, distributer, engine block, and intake. Brand new paint and interior. Less than 100 miles since the restoration. Front suspension is all new, including upper and lower control arms, spring saddles, strut rod busings, and sway bar bushings. Only 190 of the Mustang Indy 500 Pace Cars made in April of 1964. It is estimated by many experts in Mustang Enthusiast Circles that there are only approximately 50 Pace Car coupes that still exist today, and of these, less than 25 are roadworthy.
