I built the bike for reliability. You certainly can gain more HP by installing higher compression pistons and installing factory baffles to gain more backpressure/torque. Lasty, as of about 10,000 miles ago(when the rebuild occured) I only used Amsoil 20W50 Motorcycle oil and 10W40 for the clutch and transmission. This is by far the best oil.
