| DESCRIPTION |
| This is your chance to truly own a one of a kind working, driving vehicle. This car is prototype # 1 of 3 by the Fun Car Corporation built in 1996 under a $150,000 development contract from Northrop Grumman. This particular car was assembled on a low mileage 1994 GEO Metro chassis and is powered by a 1.0 liter, SOHC, 3 cylinder Suzuki engine. The engine produces 55 hp and is mated to a 3sp automatic transmission. It is capable of speeds up to 80 mph and boasts fuel economy in the 50-55 MPG range. The car seats four comfortably with the front seats being elevated (mini-van style) for greater visibility. This car has power brakes, heater/defroster and has a Blaupunkt remote control AM/FM cassette with CD controler. It is a safe, reliable, modern version of the Mini Moke, Fiat Jolly and dune buggies of the past. Service and maintenance can be handled by any GM dealer. Prototype #2 was electric powered at an additional cost of $20K for chassis modification and power train installation. The location and ownership of this car is unknown at this time. Prototype #3 was assembled on a 1995 Metro Chassis with a 4 cyl engine. It is currently privately owned by the project manager of the original series of 3. The Fun Car was featured November 1997 in Popular Science magazine. This project was cancelled due to lack of start up financing for full production. This car has been maintained and driven often. It is fully functional, titled and transfer of ownership will be no problem. This is a very unique and special offering. OWN A TRUE ONE OF A KIND! | |
