DESCRIPTION
Here's an opportunity to own what's possibly the finest 1939 Sedan in the world. A quarter of a million dollars was spent to build this Masterpiece.
Besides numerous awards, including NSRA and Goodguys and also has a top 25 Pigeon Forge decal. It was chosen to compete for the Riddler Award at the 50th Detroit Autorama. May 2002 issue of Street Rod Builder has a feature article on this Sedan. It is published in several hard bound books as well as calendars. This is an all Ford car, which makes it eligible for Roush awards.
The builder responsible for most of the work is Todd Hare, master of metal work and fabrication. He is in the class of crew directors by foose Ddesign or Boyds.
The list of mods is extensive: Top Chopped 2 1/2"; Body sectioned 2 1/2"; Channelled over frame. The wheel openings have been enlarged and Mercedes lights adorn the beautiful front end. The top is Pillarless for a hardtop look. Paint is flawless: House of Color, candy deep Brandywine.
The power comes from a 4.6 liter dual overhead cam motor and 6-speed out of a 1997 Cobra. Everything is polished and plated.
The guages are '97 Cobra / 11K miles and the car itself has only 2,000 miles.
The rear is a 9" Ford. There are custom disk brakes all the way around.
The car features P/S; P/B; A/C; Electric windows, doors, trunk. Stereo. All of the features you would expect on a world class car are on the car.
The exhaust is all stainless and the frame is as nice as the top of the car -- bring on the mirrors and lights!
The interior features a Mercedes class dash that is a one-off work of art. Luxurious leather abounds over wool carpeting. The Rosewood accents inside are perfect for the car.
The owner showed the car for only a few seasons and put it in a climate-controlled garage since. It is ready for te next owner to drive or show.
Everything on this Street Rod is hand-made -- only the steering wheel and Americans are store-bought.
