| The Rutland Area Vehicle Enthusiasts (R.A.V.E) was initially formed in 1978 by a group of local individuals who shared an interest in the preservation and restoration of antique and classic automobiles, street rods, and other types of motor vehicles.In March of 1980, R.A.V.E. was formally established as a non-profit organization. By July of that year with the aid of Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce the first show was an overwhelming success, drawing over 200 cars.Our membership reflects a broad spectrum of enthusiasts. Our members own everything from Model T?s to Muscle Cars, Antique Trucks to Street Rods, Kustoms, and Motorcycles. In fact, many members don?t own ?Show Cars? but simply enjoy vehicles in general and the company of each other.We enjoy many activities together throughout the year. Some examples are ?Pizza and Bowling? night, ?Movie-and-a-Meal Matinee?, ?Tuesday Cruises?, ?Car Show Caravans?, mixed in with Picnics, Breakfasts, Dinners and general all around Fun.Of course the most fun is putting on our Annual Car Show and Flea Market, a tradition for more than 25 years!Want to Join Us?
