| The first cruising event for the year 2007 with the Ozaukee Corvette Club started on Monday, May 7, 2007 with a trip to Champions Restaurant at Pinehurst Farms, located in Sheboygan Falls. The event was well attended that included a total of 19 members and guests with 9 Corvettes plus 2 tin cars participating.Cruising started off sunny with a cool, strong breeze from Lake Michigan, but as we headed toward the northwest the sun remained, the temperature rose a few degrees, and the Lake Michigan breeze lessened. It was a relaxing 30 mile ride to our destination through the rolling hills of Ozaukee and Sheboygan Counties farmlands.Once at our destination, everyone enjoyed the breath taking views of the 120-acre property. The Bull built in 2003, was the previous home of the Bachman Family World Champion Holsteins. Now, the property consists of The Bull, a Jack Nicholson signature golf course, Champions Restaurant, Heritage House Event Center, and Pinehurst Meadows that include golfing villas and permanent home sites.Champions Restaurant had multiple menus that ensured there was something for everyone, from the lighter fare to filet mignon, and everything in between. Everyone really enjoyed their food and an array of menu items that were chosen included appetizers, sandwiches, fish, steak, and seafood. After an evening of socializing, drinks, and dinner it was time to head for home. A good time was had by all. |
