| DESCRIPTION |
| This bike is a Low Mileage 1999 FXDWG, (under 12K miles), that I bought and took apart. 1999 is the first year of the mighty Twin Cam 88, or Fathead with the 5 speed tranny. First, The Tins came off and went to my painter for prep and several coats of House of Kolor Candy Blue Metallic Paint over a Silver Base Coat. The effect is Awesome; It looks like the Old School Ludwig Drumsets you saw when growing up as a kid. In the sunlight, it is jaw dropping with lots of metalflake.I also put a 2 inch tank lift kit in on the re-install, which is very subtle and the reason why you can see the chrome rocker boxes and has the optional Chrome Harley rocker box cover bolt kit. The tires are New Harley Davidson, New Battery, New front Motor Mount. In fact, anything that even remotely looked like it wasn’t brand new has been replaced. The Risers came out of the latest Harley Catalog, as well as the Aero Grips and Mirrors. The Bars are Vintage Sportster Buckhorns, I also have a brand new pair of wide glide bars that go with the bike. Instead of saying Brand New over and over again, you can assume everything is unless I state that it isn’t.The back wheel is a solid wheel off a Fat Boy, and the Front Mag was a $1000 swirl design that I came across when hunting parts. It shows some slight pitting and chrome imperfections and is the ONLY part that could be redone to make this bike a ten-out-of ten for show. The front headlight is $200 unit off a Big Dog. Lets talk about money for a moment. Every thing for a Harley is a minimum of a hundred dollars, usually closer to two hundred. If you have ever gone to a dealer, you will find this to be the case. That is where we get the expression, H.D., hundred dollar, hundred dollar!! But on this bike, If you have questions or I have forgotten anything you can call me at 561-309-4660 (my cell) Brien | |
